The foundation
A life grounded in Catholic faith
Nick Palazzo is a Roman Catholic who was involved with the Harvard Catholic Student Society and other Catholic organizations. His favorite Bible verse is Romans 10:9, summarized in three words: “Jesus is Lord.”
Where faith met football
His earliest football stories began with parish CYO teams in Northeast Ohio. A city championship, an unexpected word from a priest, and a community gathered around young athletes helped form a lasting mission: use sports to serve, encourage, and create opportunity for others.
The meaning of number 22
Number 22 connects Nick Palazzo's football identity to family memories and a saying from Grandma Dee: “Deuces are wild.” It became more than a jersey number—a visible reminder of family bonds, childhood triumphs, and blessings.
Fatherhood and service
As a father of four daughters, Palazzo's faith and family life inform his work with female athletes through 2x2 Sports, a faith-based organization centered on flag football, coaching, mentorship, and helping athletes unlock their God-given potential.
